Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

3.0

Hmmm... Well, it was all going as well as it could - maybe a 4 star rating - when suddenly the climax happened. Now, I saw many people say it was the worst cliffhanger ever, blah blah blah... But for me, it was bollocks.

I mean, is there anyone who doesn't know from around page 100 that
Spoiler something's up and everyone like Finnick, Johanna are trying to help them?
I definitely did. And apparently it's a big revelation at the end. Nah. And the other big twist about
Spoiler the revolution having started, about Plutarch being a good guy, etc etc bullshit
that was so obvious too!!! I wonder how people felt it was amazing.

Another thing that drives me crazy apart from the stupid first person present tense, is Katniss' bullcrap thoughts about Peeta, Gale, Prim, the other contestants, and about EVERYTHING in general. It is SO f*cking annoying!!!!

I seriously wonder how people loved this. Look, I did like the book, it's average. Even though this whole story is new, the writing and narrative bring it down to an average book.

I definitely did not love it. Yeah 3 stars.
