I’ve put off reading Stone Butch Blues for a few years, knowing it would absolutely destroy me! The narrators feelings of pain and isolation stayed with me even when I wasn’t reading, I felt like I was inside the book even after I’d put it down. I doubt there will be a book that has an impact as deep as Leslie’s Stone Butch Blues has had.
