I found the over-exposition a bit annoying. Nothing peeves me more than when someone explains something and the MC repeats it back to us...
The book felt longer than it should have, and there’s a lot of repetition that could have been skipped due to it serving no purpose.
I did like Luella and Eldas’ dynamics, until the whole last few chapters. The tension was not necessary when they both knew what they felt towards one another.
