I went into this book having no idea what to expect. I didn't even read the blurb, I just jumped right in. At first I seriously questioned what I was reading, but I heard really good things so I kept going.
It's a book with a hard topic to swallow. It's a world that is every girls nightmare, and reading it at times was scary and horrifying. It also opens your eyes to how similar situations to this take place in other areas of the world. I don't want to give too much away because I liked starting this book without knowing what it was about.
Although there is romance in this book, it's also about fear, self discovery, sacrifice and survival.
I think it should come with a bit more of a trigger warning for rape victims, but overall if you can handle a tough theme with some hard to swallow content, it's a great book.
