I really did not like the main character of this book. I got all the way to the end of it and I still think she's absolutely awful. I get that she was supposed to be redeemed but I don't feel like the author made that case.
I don't think the romance was very believable or supported by the story. All in all this is a big fail for me. I did appreciate the descriptions that the author included and even the world that she built I just don't think she can write characters very well because I could not understand their motivations even after the mystery of the book was solved It still didn't really make any sense that her main character would make the decisions she did.

I realize that this series is incredibly popular and that people really enjoy it I am just not one of those people.
