If I Fix You by Abigail Johnson

Beware Of Spoilers!!

My Thoughts

This book has been on my radar for quite some time now. I finally picked it up and with much disappointment, I disliked it. This book was confusing at times. I really didn't care about Jill too much. I think she was a bit much. I didn't like her attitude throughout the book and I feel like she was meaner than she should have been.

I'm pretty disappointed in this book. I had very high expectations for this book. It was a let down. There were some parts in this book I liked, that's why I'm giving it a rating of two stars instead of one.

I only liked one out of the many characters in this book. That character didn't even get a lot of scene time in this book even though he was mentioned quite a lot.

Pros

Daniel: I loved Daniel. He was a character that deserved so much more of this book. He deserves so much more in life. I'm really kind of hoping that Abigail writes a book for him because I would totally buy it and read it.

Cons

Slow Paced: This book took me longer to read then it should have. I had a hard time getting into this story. I felt like it was never going to end. I was wanting it to be over so bad.

Jill: I really disliked her throughout this entire book. She went on hating and ignoring Sean without hearing his side of the story. She really made the divorce of her parents about her rather than her parents. She kept on saying that her mom didn't leave her dad, that she left her. Um, no sweetheart. She left both of you. She was rude to her friends when she really needed them the most. She led Daniel on even though she knew that their age gap was uncomfortable for everyone.

Jill's Dad: I kinda liked him at first. But every time the mother is mentioned in any way, he shuts down. I mean, I know it's going to happen sometimes. But he shuts down a lot and doesn't ever talk. I feel like he should have just let Katheryn go if he didn't really love her. He was literally suffocating her. He bonded with his bastard child to get back at his wife for having an affair. He's a manipulative man who doesn't deserve the credit he got in this book.

Recommend To

I honestly wouldn't really recommend this book to anyone. I didn't really care for it and I feel like others wouldn't either.
