This was not a new concept for a book. In fact, this plot is still quite popular in teen lit.
I did appreciate the alliterations, the casual use of non-conforming pronouns, and the ending wasn’t quite what I expected. I definitely would have taken another route.
Still well done for Miller, I’ll continue to read all her books!
