The Haunting
by Natasha Preston
I've never read a novel by Natasha Preston but many of my female teen readers rave about her books, so I picked her newest one to read.
Exactly a year ago, Penny's small town was rocked by a series of gruesome murders of her classmates. Her boyfriend's father was arrested and now her boyfriend, Nash, is ostracized. Now someone is duplicating the murders from a year ago. Penny, along with her three closest friends and Nash, look for answers.
This book has series Scream vibes, including a masked killer. It was entertaining.
I didn't like the dialogue between the characters. It felt unnatural for teenagers.
