Anything That Moves
by Jamie Stewart
dark
funny
hopeful
lighthearted
mysterious
reflective
sad
medium-paced
it’s macabre, pitiful and desolated, funny when it has to be, but firm, elegant and static (in a good way), it kept me lighthearted.
++usually maybe halfway through the book i like skipping to the last page and read the last word and try to make of it while reading towards the end; the last word here is “tongue” and the book is often sexually explicit, so the connection with it seemed obvious: nothing could have prepared me to what jamie was instead going to say.
