I have decided that I will only read Val McDermid books in summer. Her villains are so icky I need the summer to break through the creepiness.
In this book you know the villain from the first couple of chapters. And what results is an increasingly tense game of chase as people get closer and closer throughout the book. The tension is great, and actually well done.
This is a tighter book than the first. But again, summertime reading.
