Because I'm Worth It by Cecily Von Ziegesar

2.0

I'll admit it: I really like Gossip Girl as a show. And I was going to Europe for a couple weeks, so my mom bought me this as something to read on the plane. I had no plans to read it, but I packed it anyway, in case I ran out of books. It's sort of hard to find English books in central Europe. I did end up reading it on a day I was feeling sick, and I didn't hate it; I read it in a couple hours, without stop, but man, I really didn't like it. It requires you to suspend your disbelief, which is fine, but to an insane extent, and really, for characters who are wholly unlikable. I definitely wouldn't read another, but I'll watch the next season of Gossip Girl. The show has certainly improved upon the books.
