Dickens has a way of writing characters that makes them so full of life and in this book on particular so hilarious that you can imagine the modern day equivalent being just as funny and well received. In fact it feels so very before his time in a way. But boy I loved this. The characters and their scrapes and situations as well as the more serious message behind the debtors prison and wealth inequality make this so interesting to read. Sam Weller has to be my favourite character. But who cannot love the loveable old Mr Pickwick who made it all happen.
