3.5 rounded up! The writing and the prose are just my fave. There’s something about older classics that is just pure ✨vibes✨

Are there issues? Obviously. The first book had a lot about Mormonism (and did not paint the religion in a flattering light) and likewise in this book there are a lot of questionable racist lines, this is obviously a product of the time period it was written, so please bare that in mind while reading these books.

I really enjoyed this book. Honestly the representation of Holmes is just fabulous. He’s basically an anti-hero. Petulant, abrasive but brilliantly clever. Plus at one point he’s literally shooting up cocaine because he’s bored
