Paris: The Memoir by Paris Hilton

4.0

After reading Britney's memoir, I decided to pick up this one. Britney mentioned her a few times in her book and I heard someone say on a podcast that it was worth the read. No one is more surprised than I am to have been super impressed by this book. Like Britney's, parts of this book are really heartbreaking and hard to read.
I had only heard bits and pieces about her dealings with the troubled teen industry. I had no idea that for two years, she was victimized and abused in every way possible by these monsters. She could have come out of that and spiraled into tragedy of a human, but she came out fighting.
I appreciate her honesty, her determination to be who she wants to be and her insanely brilliant business sense. She sees her worth and makes sure everyone else does too. I was not into fashion or reality TV when she was constantly in the news, and I have no idea what I would have said about her in the early 2000's. Now all I can say is "Go, girl".
