I really enjoyed this book because it was different than what I expected it to be. For some reason I thought it was going to have more humor than it did, and it became clear when I started it that the story was not going in that direction. But I think the way it did go was really powerful in how it dealt with religion and Abigail's character development. I think the character development was the strongest aspect of this book, and as a writer I was able to see clearly between what she wanted and what she needed and by the end Abigail could see that too. While the story was a little slow for me in places, overall this book made me think a lot, and I really appreciated that.

Oh, also—I didn't notice this until I finished the book and was reading the about the author on the back flap of the book, but I think it's awesome Bryan Bliss went to SPU in Seattle, which is close to where I live!
