This is basically an enemies to lovers, fantasy AU of You’ve Got Mail. Two rival journalists who are working during the resurgence of a war between two ancient gods accidentally fall in love. One thinks she is writing magically delivered letters to her brother, who is off fighting in the war, and the other is mysteriously finding the envelopes as they slide out onto his bedroom floor every night. I gotta say, for as much as I complain about fantasy, this one passed the vibe check. The world building was smooth and done well without distracting from the plot/character development. The writing style holds up. The sequel (second book in the series? Idk) is coming out around Christmas, and I’ve already got myself on the library waitlist. Would recommend.
