Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing
by Matthew Perry
Perry gives a very real, very graphic account of his decades-long battle with addiction, sparing few details. Although scenes from rehabs and hospitals are cushioned by witty, Chandler Bing-esque remarks, readers seeking sweet, wholesome memories and behind-the-scenes stories from the Friends set should not expect to find them in this book. Addiction is a terrible disease.
Graphic: Addiction, Alcoholism, Drug abuse, Drug use, Mental illness, Misogyny, Alcohol
Moderate: Cursing, Excrement, Medical content, Abandonment
