this was real bad. i wasn't expecting it to be good, but i was hoping it would at least be fun, and it wasn't. the writing was clunky and stodgy and honestly some of the worst i've read in a while (although tbf i haven't read much besides scientific papers recently). it reads like pirates of the caribbean fanfic written by a fourteen year old except somehow more sexist.
