Istanbul by Orhan Pamuk

An interesting read about a city I had just visited, learning of its history and day-to-day through the eyes of a Nobel prize winner.

Some beautiful passages, with illustrative language that summed up so many of my thoughts of the city. He really knows how to paint pictures with words. Aside from that, there were some enjoyable anecdotes, however the structure was a little disjointed and convoluted for my tastes. I am interested to read his novels, especially Snow (after having visited Kars) and Museum of Innocence (after having visited the titular premises).
