A fun time of magic and heart, shedding a new light on the Llorona legend. Just enough surreal elements to hook middle grade readers while staying grounded in the real world and real anxieties and feelings of the protagonist. It was entertaining to read it knowing that Diana Lopez is making this a series with the other monsters. Perfect lil October/Latine heritage month read.
