This was a strange read.  The story concept was intriguing but I just found the execution to be boring.  Hulda is a detective on the verge of retirement when she picks up one last cold case.  I liked seeing how the case progressed but I did think that Hulda made a few silly decisions.  While I wanted to know the outcome and the ending was a shock, I found the story to be dull & boring.
