The House of Always by Jenn Lyons

3.0

Highlights of this series:
-It has all types of sexuality and genders & gives really great explanations of it without being preachy all within the storyline as a difference in cultures between the countries.
-Different Gods/Immortals than the other fantasy novels you pick up. Though, yes there are two vampires but they eat souls rather than blood.
-The story is told as a report from various points a view sort of like a diary with commentary thrown in.
-Villains you love to hate.
-The underdog pervails.

Dislikes:
-While I still really like the storyline of this series, the way the story is told in this last book is difficult to follow. At least while listening to the audiobook. Maybe the print version shows what landscape/person the story is being told from per page?
-No good sex scenes.
