Black Widow, Vol. 1: The Finely Woven Thread by Nathan Edmondson
4.0
PHIL NOTO SHOULD DRAW MY LIFE.
As for the story, it was good--would've liked if it was not quite so stand alone in the first 3 issues, but I understand why, from a business stand-point. I do think it hindered the quality of issues 3-6 as the plot felt a little rushed, but it was good, nonetheless. I have a few nitpicks about some choices Edmonson does with Natasha but there are enough really good character moments that made me shrug off my concerns and go along with the rest.
I have to say, though, I'm docking off points for the terrible attempts at Spanish done on #3. I mean, come ON--you're telling me you could NOT find someone to check the grammar before sending to publication? It was straight out of google translator. So damn lazy.
