Did not finish book. Stopped at 36%.
I can’t get over knowing your sister is being abused by her boyfriend and just cause she gets upset you leave her for 3 years and only end up helping her because her abuser ended up annoying YOU (not even her). The FMC didn’t even realize what she did and come back for her sister, she was actually dreading having to come back and being around them. Sorry your sister is really going through it, hello??? Keep in mind this is someone in their late 20s. Also the aunt was so unkind.


I’m all for unlikeable FMCs but I can’t get on board without this being acknowledged or learned from, it’s just an accepted plot point and action by the FMC and not challenged at all.
