Content warnings for this novella include (obviously) explicit sex, attempted suicide, miscarriage/stillbirth, depression, and a mermaid sexually assaulting a paralyzed merman. That last one is a spoiler for stuff near the end but, it's sexual assault so, I'm gonna leave it right there anyway.

Y'all, this gets three stars because I'm gonna rate it for what it is - monster porn. It's definitely not the worst thing I've ever read. Was it predictable? Yes. Were the promiscuous mermaids the villains of the story? Yes. But I had some great laughs and there was a happily-ever-after following a pretty dark beginning. The sex was mostly just meh - amusing rather than arousing. Although, the unique anatomy of a merman was something new and fun.
Overall, this was a great way to wrap up #mermay2019!
