This book felt like it was rushing me along like it was eager to have me finished and at the same time giving me nothing. The ridiculous and overbearing father was cartoonish and it felt like everyone was a characture of themselves. This lead to a lack of depth and real emotional connection. The ride this book takes you on does make you feel like you're on a carousel, but instead of fun you get to read the same conversation and main characters thoughts over again and again. Not poorly written, but I disliked all of the characters. MC suffers from stubborn, willful naivety.
