Sand by Hugh Howey

5.0

A massive fan of the Silo series, I absolutely had to pick up Sand to see where this series would take me.

The beginning was a little slow, but Howey once again proves himself a master at weaving together multiple narratives to slowly uncover a deeper story than one was expecting. I’m excited to continue the series, hoping we explore more of Danvar and the mysteries of the communities that lie to the east, west, and north of the central story.

I also am not a reader that gets bogged down by things that may seem a little far out of the realm of possibility. I think to truly enjoy dystopian or sci-fi, you need to suspend some disbelief and allow yourself to enjoy the narrative without questioning the plausibility everything (sand diving, sarfers, etc.)
