I'm torn on how to rate this book.  On one hand, I loved the characters and enjoyed the story. However, I didn't think Mal was done well. I loved, him, don't get me wrong, but the blurb and introduction of his character claimed he was generfluid with a constantly  shifting personality, but that was never really shown. He only used or was referred to with he/him pronouns and other than wearing makeup and dressing a little feminine one, maybe twice, there was no fluidity. Even his personality was pretty static aside from a few eccentric moments here and there. He and Nico were cute together, but I felt disappointed in his rep.
