I really did not like this one, which is so disappointing because I love the original series. I find the characterization of the men pretty OOC; even though

they don't remember her

they didn't treat Lera like this when they first met her.

The two most egregious instances in this book are when

Coal fucking WATERBOARDS HER, what the actual hell

and

when she's afraid that River is going to whip her and she's utterly petrified

. Those are her mates! I utterly hate it. Man, it made me upset just writing it down again. She's literally punished by her mates in a totally not-cute way, and I don't care what the story plot going is, I am not down for it.
