5 ⭐️ no question. I was confused by the blurb because how could I have never heard of the Meadow Creek Massacre? Reading the author’s note, content warnings, and “notes on histocracy” in the beginning had me hooked in the worst way. How could I have heard nothing about an event that requires three pages of notes and warnings?
But I hadn’t, and those pages of warnings were very necessary. None Left to Tell is a story of the Meadow Creek massacre in Utah told from the perspective of three groups, each with different roles in the event. This was not a fun read, but it was a gripping one.
The way the stories interconnected and the varying POVs…they gave voice and added humanity on all sides. I couldn’t put it down
