Seed follows young members of a cult-like, nature loving community, growing up under the ever watchful eye of the manipulative Papa S. Pearl is such a naive protagonist; she's so endearing and I found myself rooting for her. This story, perhaps unsurprisingly as it's set in a cult, deserves a content warning for manipulation, emotional abuse and hints at physical and sexual abuse. The author did such a great job at drawing me into the story. I was repeatedly shocked, angry, and fully emotionally invested.
