Pretty good read! It definitely didn’t knock my socks off like some other fantasy series/books I’ve read, however I blew through this relatively quickly and enjoyed it by the end.
I wish there was more build up or suspense for some of the big reveals and moments that should feel like a “woah what???”.. some of this book does feel a little rushed in a way.
The main characters I’m still a little on the fence about. The Darkling seems super mysterious and has the potential for really interesting character developments and reveals. Alina is kinda annoying but also potential for really bad ass character development. Mal seems fine, kinda comes across as an ass sometimes though and I don’t really see him and Alina being romantically involved.
Definitely picking up the next book, and hoping for some crazy plot twists 🤞🏼
