I picked this book for Book of the Month Club when it came out, even though it didn’t seem like something I’d normally read. I kept putting it off, but boy am I glad I read this book! I fell in love with the character instantly, and there was almost never a lull. It kept me on my toes, and by the time I finished, I had fallen in love. There were a couple of tears, if I’m being honest! I read this without reading the previous duology, but I want to spend more time in this story, so even though I know what happens, I will gladly be reading These Violent Delights and Our Violent Ends!
