this book.
my heart feels like it's been twisted into a sick little bow after i finished it. i started it to meet my target for books i've read this year, but i ended up getting much more than what i bargained for.
the book takes on the depraved, obsessed, and ultimately sick route so seemlessly that it creeps up on you. what starts as a lighthearted search to cure loneliness through internet, ends up being so much more - in the most horrific way. however, i will say, it does warm my heart in a eerie way to see two people who can understand and accept the most grotesque parts of each other, and even love them for it.
conclusion, the most mind-fucking book i've read this year, but i do recommend checking the trigger warnings before picking it up. it might not be up your ally if you're not in the mindspace for it. huge respect to the author for writing this creepfest in less than a week.
