Daughter of the Pirate King
by Tricia Levenseller
Overall this was a quick and interesting read. I can't say that I've ever read a pirate book where killing and loose moral compasses are as real as they were in this book. The author did an amazing job making the pirates seem, well, piratey! Alosa was an interesting character and I loved how up and down her and Riden were in trying to figure each other out. I loved their battle of wills, constant banter and how they kept one-upping each other. My only complaints are that this book felt a little rushed/under developed in some of the action-y areas. But putting that aside, I still consider it a light, fun read!
