Darkness Embraced by Tillie Cole

"Tanner Ayers . . . The White Prince of the Ku Klux Klan. And me, Adelita Quintana, princesa of the Quintana cartel . . . this would be interesting . . ."
I have LOVED every book in this series yet this one, this one was different and it took awhile for me to get invested in the story but once I did I enjoyed it. This one is filled with quite a few flash backs which helps tell Tanner and Adelita's story and gives you the background of how their relationship came to be.
“I hated you. Then wanted you . . . now I both love and need you. Completely. My prince. My love . . . my life.”
Their love was a complicated one, one that was hidden from all because it would have never been accepted all because of the color of their skin. How can a love flourish from hate, from racism, from bigotry? You'd be surprised what a determined, beautiful, relentless woman can do to prove her worth to a man who has been groomed from hate.
“Adelita Quintana. You’re making me want things I never dreamed I could want. You’re giving me something I’ve never had before. Hope, hope for more than what I know . . .”
This book will have you balling your hands into fist, have you gasping for breath because the twists, turns and mind-blowing moments will leave you reeling......so good luck!
