The Gardener and the Carpenter: What the New Science of Child Development Tells Us About the Relationship Between Parents and Children by Alison Gopnik

funny informative inspiring lighthearted reflective medium-paced

4.5

I'd recommend every parent /caretaker (full time or part time) of children to read / listen to this book. I'm neither a parent or caretaker and it was still very eye-opening, affirming and very worthwhile read for me. One thing that stood out the most for me was the 'Learning Through Listening' chapter, especially the part about how children can understand at a very young age subtle differences that distinguish history & fact from fantasy & fiction.
