For me, Avery's story was a bit stale for most of this installment of the trilogy. Calliope went down a fairly dull path as well. Rylin, Leda, and Watt only just managed to hold things together until the last hundred pages when the plot pace picked up and the characters shone again.

I would have really liked to see Rylin shuck off the half-baked boys who were defining her and head into the future solo. Other than that, the only off-putting thing in the series for me was the propagating of the 'bury your gays' trope.
