In this novella we get to see what happens to Laura, Daniel's other victim aside from Ruth in book 1.
Laura leaves Daniel while she's approx 2-3 months pregnant, running to the seaside town her parents took her to when she was 15. Her first night there she literally trips over the first boy she ever loved but never saw again after that summer, Samir.
This is a second chance romance as well as a finding your strength again journey for Laura. It was super sweet, but my favorite part was actually the author's note where she says she couldn't leave a person even a fictional one in that situation, it made me tear up a bit.
