everyone was right, this book is amazing.
the characters are layered darlings and I just wanted them to be okay. Yadriel is a fantastic main character. He made me happy, sad, angry and his journey to proving to everyone that he's a brujo was an excellent arc. Julian is a mystery we are slowly unveiling and I just kept loving him more and more. Martiza is an icon, I want a friend like her. Yadriel's family is vibrant and complex and the generational hierarchy that he has to navigate in his daily life made the story complete. I highly rec.
I don't think I have anything new to say about this book that hasn't been said before, if you haven't yet read this book, what are you waiting for ?
