The Wager by Rachel Van Dyken

3.0

I'd give it 3.5 stars if possible - it wasn't great and it wasn't horrible. It kept me wanting to turn the page and made me laugh. Was the dialogue great? No. Was the plot moving steadily? No. It was rather predictive and the characters often repeated their thoughts, which gets annoying. I also think the author is somewhat religious as she often writes that a character swore, but doesn't actually write the swear word and only alludes to some "interactions." Will I read the third when/if it comes out? Most likely.
