So here we have the story of Evan and Jace... and Andre. I really enjoyed this story. It was pretty hot! But I have removed one star for the angst. These are always high angst books I know but I just felt sad that Evan had quite so much baggage. What a shitty life. I felt it was just a bit too depressing. She was so broken by her initial love for Jace, but he was, well, not. He'd moved on quite well. I know that's real life, but I do like a strong heroine.
Regardless of Evan's strong words, she was a bit too vulnerable for me. But that point aside and the rest of the story was great. A compelling read. The BDSM was middling I'd say and the M/M scene was done well. And as for the cop fantasy? Well it was pretty awesome.
