Project Fierce Chicago by Samantha M. Derr

3.0

I know that usually anthologies are mixed bags yet I love them anyway, and I love them all the more when they're published for the benefit of a good cause. There is not wasted money in such cases and I regard and respect all the authors for theirs contributions.

Hence, it doesn't seem fair nor mandatory to me softening my opinions; it's simple: a good cause always prevails over a personal opinion.

I cannot help it, I have a soft spot for paradoxical stories, and this combines pinpoint accuracy and emotion in a wonderful way

Turning Around by Kayla Bain-Vrba - 1, 5 star

Finding Home by Piper Vaughn & Xara X. Xanakas - 2,5 stars

Hearth & Home by B. Snow - 2 stars

Never Leave by Kenzie Cade - 2 stars
A string of somewhat outmoded clichés acceptably written

Castle on a Cloud by Tayla Andor - 2 stars

Crash Pad by Lor Rose - 2 stars

Long Way Home by April - 1. 5 star

Esperanza by Vicktor Alexander - -1
I'm so sorry but this story seemed awfully simplistic and childish to me; so bad that I cannot help but to call on a negative rating to establish its distance with the other stories from the anthology.
