This was really fun. I love McQuiston's writing and this had a great premise. The scavenger hunt element was entertaining and the rivals to lovers relationship was very well done. Chloe and Shara are both quite prickly characters but they felt very real. McQuiston also always has brilliant side characters and this was no exception. It reminded me of Booksmart in the way the students learn about each other and how they don't all fit in their expected boxes.
I didn't love it in quite the same way I did McQuistion's other two books but that's probably just because I tend to feel a little distant from YA books as an adult. I'll still read anything they write next though.

Graphic: Homophobia and Religious bigotry
Minor: Death
