From a Certain Point of View by Elizabeth Schaefer

I think the most telling thing I can say about this book is that I read four novels during the month of January, but it took me all of February and half of March to get through just this one. Forty stories is a lot of stories! I love Star Wars a whole dang lot, and its community of fans are precious as peas, but did we need seven (7!) stories about the 3 minutes of the film that take place in Mos Eisley cantina? Certainly, I did not.

As with any collection, there are some stories here that are more miss than hit, but there are also many beautiful and heart-rending ones. If Rae Carson’s “The Red One” doesn’t leave you with a lump in your throat, well, I don’t wanna know you.
