This was such a lovely read. I loved the atmosphere in Rebecca, and it kept me guessing throughout. I read the afterword of this edition, and it assumed that every reader (both modern and from when it was first published) found Rebecca to be their favorite of the two wives; um, no... I most definitely preferred the new Mrs. de Winter! She annoyed me, but I still really liked reading from her perspective. Another new favorite book!
