I had to read this book for the class I'm teaching and I am glad the unit is almost over. This is our common book this year, but I struggled to see how the students would be able to connect to the topics. While I think the writing is solid and interesting, this deals with issues that most students won't encounter and don't have much context for.

Overall, not my favorite.
