I thought this book was great. I loved seeing more of Nick and learning about Elizabeth. I was a little wary in the beginning because I love Sam and Anna, but Nick and Elizabeth surprised me.

Nick has been having flashbacks. And they are growing worse. As well as creating more questions. Nick needs to know what happened all those years ago when he was working for the branch. And what a particular young girl has to do with it all.
Elizabeth was kidnapped and held captive by the branch. She was tested and experimented on. She did escape. With the help of a young man who she doesn't know. Years later she is still curious as well as traumatized from her time as a human experiment.

When Nick finally meets Elizabeth, the girl he saved in the woods he doesn't get the answers he hoped for, even is giving more questions as to what her involve be was with the branch.

They both soon discover Nick isn't the only one who is looking for Elizabeth.

I loved this book, even with a few doubts at the beginning I kept with it and am glad that I did because it was a fantastic story that is leaving me with a few questions of my own. I'm hoping for more Anna and Sam as well as maybe some Cas.
