Well, what a huge let down. It pains me to write this review, but it is what it is..
The Bone Keeper started off so well. Being an investigative thriller, I assumed I’d definitely enjoy this one. The beginning made me curious and I couldn’t wait to learn more about the creepy Bone Keeper.
This entire book was such a slow burn. It felt like it took me forever to finish and read through these 400 pages. The beginning is what draws you in but then it becomes repetitive. New names and stories are thrown into the loop and I legit did not know who the characters were talking about or what was going on. And this confusion went on for the entire book.
I thought about DNFing but at this point I was already 60% in and pushed through. The ending somewhat explains who The Bone Keeper is and tells a bit more about the main character’s past, but that’s about it. No huge plot twist, no crazy ending. Nothing. This book fell flat for me and I’m just so disappointed because it had so much potential ☹️
