I didn’t expect Ned to be such a big dumb romantic idiot with soft insides - not after what was mentioned of him and his father Lidell in Heat for Sale. But he was just that - a big dumb romantic genuinely optimistic idiot. And I loved that for him. It’s not something I’ve really seen in characters that center on a bully or enemy to lovers trope but getting inside Ned’s head, his perspective knowing he was a onlooker (so still guilty but not evil, just cowardly) f’d change things.
